EM position Interview prep tips for a senior engineer.
When interviewing for an Engineering Manager position what percentage of the the interview is technical vs behavioral?
I was hired as a software engineer and grew into a lead role(senior engineer) , currently lead a team without formal direct reports. I have never interviewed for a EM position so wondering what to expect. Talking to some recruiters in the industry and other very few available interview references it looks like a mix of behavioral and technical. It's still not very clear what is the depth of the system design and technical knowledge that they expect for EM positions.
Currently I have an interview scheduled for Verily, but there is interest from other mid size companies as well.
For Verily, is it safe to assume the bar is same as other Google EM interviews?

How many rounds for each of above depends on the company but number of rounds is proportional to importance
