Perf bonus 10k cash + $45k worth of rsu, can be a multiple of this if high performing (thats pretty much how it was worded)

15k relocation from overseas

Also, I currently have an offer from Uber with almost identical figures, except higher target cash bonus. I'm pretty sure this is the standard offer for a senior software engineer.

    My initial offer for SSE-1(a) was 180k, 680k(based on $33 evaluation) and re-negotiated the rsus to 760k again(23k shares)on $33 eval.
    Target bonus - 15k + $45k rsus.

I had 1 competing offer from Other Fangs.

Wow, brilliant bonus refresher. I am assuming stock is based on 33$ value. Maybe for me they covered it in initial grant. Not sure though.

Sorry about the confusion. Yes it's 16k units. I used units because we don't really know what they'll be worth after IPO. It doesn't make a difference what they're "worth" when the offer was made, right?

Yes you have a point - if they're worth more at the time of offer they will probably try to offer fewer units.

I wasn't clear in my question, what I meant was if it's the same number of units, what each unit is worth at the time of offer won't make any difference to the final value, because it's up to the market price in the end, right?

I mean, 1 rsu is still 1 share and most employees get common share?

Correct, all that information should be in the RSU vesting attachment in your offer.

Very low end in terms of RSUs relative to work experience.

This is a very good offer. Looking at your package I regret joining at such a low package.

Sorry man. For what it's worth, my current TC is only about half of that and 2-3 years ago it used to be a quarter of that. So you've had a head start.

Typical for Uber, low-ball offer. Feel free to counter, it's expected there. I wasn't able to come to a middle ground with them, but they definitely are willing to move
