Looking for a summer internship for my son. He is graduating high school and starting university this fall. GPA 4.3. Certified data scientist by datacamp - machine and deep learning on python. Also codes in swift. Regularly participated in Kaggle competitions, etc.
So the problem with this is your son should be showing the drive to find his own path. Just my opinion, lead the horse to water, not the water to the horse.
He totally does. I basically discovered this app today and he is crazy busy with finals.
I can understand that, but just remember you can’t be in the interviews with him. Better to teach him those white boarding skills or train on leetcode. He is gonna have to work for “free” to earn experience for a few years and work his way to the engineering path he decides
Have your son and u reach out to people on LinkedIn or GitHub (hopefully he has a profile sharing his code/work). If he can’t get a internship he should try and work on a large scale and/or full stack data science project during the summer.
Thank you - good alternative. Still best is to learn to communicate and to deliver in real environment.
Maybe find a meetup group or other similarly aged group kids to work on the project together
He got an invitation from Apple, but it was not a full match - they wanted native Hebrew person while he is fluent in Hebrew, but born in US.
What location?
Silicon Valley.
“my son”......
