I was told by the recruiter that senior level here has range base from 160k-180k. Is that true? Or, he just gave me a low ball. (senior swe position in computer vision). The more I think about it the more angry I become. thanks
This is accurate. YOE? Senior SWE is equivalent to entry level and pay is as such. Ask for at least principal level if you have a few YOE. Half of SWE is a manager or director of sorts. We have a senior director with two directors as direct reports. One of those directors has no reports and the other has a single “senior” swe report. Don’t believe the levels, believe the compensation.
