TC: $200k YoE: 10
Do you have to go for stamping? AFAIK, you can travel with the existing visa and new company’s approved i797 until the visa is expired. As always, your company’s immigration team is the best resource to answer these questions
Right.. If your stamp with company A is still valid, you don't need to get a new stamp. You can still use your previous visa with new i797
Yes. I am familiar with that but I will be anyways going for stamping. The question is what if I get called for interview.
Don’t you have to drop off your passport too at the Dropbox ? Also, Do not know for sure but it’s highly not intuitive that after getting into administrative processing , you try to sneak in using the old visa stamp. Do not do it even if someone tells you it’s possible.
Yes, they took the passport. I don't think its sneaky if I decide to use the old Visa as long as the system permits that.
How will you get the passport back ? The visa stamp is in there right ?
After Dropbox when u are called in for interview, in most cases it means 221g. In that case, they may cancel your existing visa leaving you no choice but to attend interview and wait for new stamp.
Thanks. I think that make sense. I didn't know that they could cancel the existing Visa.
