Final Action Dates: EB1 India: 1st March 2015 (2 months) EB2 India: 22nd May 2009 (3 days) EB3 India: 15th Jan 2009 (7 days) In other news PD for eb3 ROW retrogressed to JAN'17 ( no clue what's happening here, given its not a single queue) https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2020/visa-bulletin-for-march-2020.html
This bulletin is the most depressing thing to look at as an Indian citizen.
😕
Why is anything about the visa bulletin surprising? If it really bothers you, support the only bill that helps you. Can i, as an immigrant help? Yes of course, the bill that passed house had all it's cosponsors because another immigrant in the backlog like you asked the congressman and congresswoman for help. 🤷🏽♂️It didn't come because the congressional office woke up one morning and decide to cosponsor. Will my GC have issues if I volunteer? You have your 1st amendment. This is a country of immigrants. If this issue isn't important, you should probably not care about visa bulletin either. If you are depressed seeing it - instead focus your frustrations on solving it, instead of pretending to be helpless. Help yourself and advocate for yourself.
Good info, but with my Jan’17 PD (eb2) I will check back in 40 years lol
Why don’t Indians want to return home and make it a better place?
Yes, we're all altruists here on blind.
The Chinese did and it seemed to work out well. They have BATS (and bats as well, though that was not so good)
wow too many smart people moving from india
"So unfair, Indians never get GCs 😪😢" - Indians, while scooping half the GCs
Seems like the article writer did poor research or no one in their office even read it before it was published. Garbage journalism. It’s being quoted left and right on Twitter to say Indians get so many employment green cards. Problem is this data is for form I-140, which is the step before final step of filing I-485, after approval of which is when you get your green card. I-140 approval does NOT get you a green card, it just gets you in line waiting years or decades (for EB2 Indians) to wait for a green card. This I-140 data in fact shows the demand for green cards from Indians has increased. There might be some I-485 data there but help yourself to find it if you are interested. Such a pathetic article, erroneously twisting the whole discussion.
Hope EB1 catches up with EB2. Enough of EB1C crap.
Too much emotionally draining to me, I am returning to India next week. Friday is last day at work, I would rather try my luck in India rather than apply from US for Indian position and justify my presence here saying "I dont get calls here".
you are doing the right thing and you will look back and feel happy in the long run for sure.
Thank you. Sure the only thing that scares me is if I will get job in India. I am not a IT/CS engineer and I left India in first place because I never wanted to become one. Hopefully I get something good for my career (wireless communication and signal processing).
Lol Soon EB1 will have the same date as EB2 and EB3 .. and maybe EB3 will move ahead ;)
Since it’s related. Would love some thoughts here too https://www.teamblind.com/post/Move-to-London-from-Bay-Area-jMVherZ1
Interesting to see how EB3 has aligned with EB2. Most likely due to the upgrades by hook or by crook.
Its easy to upgrade to eb2. You just need 5 years of industry experience. Given most of the people in eb3 are here for a decade, they will upgrade to eb2 if it moves forward by lot. ( Or downgrade if eb3 moves) . So they will always be in close margin.
Not true, for variety of reasons. Experience on your last job (one that's filing PERM for you) is not counted and also the company must be willing to go through the extra trouble of EB2 requirements. Not to mention that the job description and requirements has to justify EB2. In short - it's not as trivial as you picture it
