FTC and states sue Facebook, could force it to divest Instagram and WhatsApp https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/09/ftc-and-several-states-launch-antitrust-lawsuits-against-facebook.html Is this good for FB stock?
FB should go private
🍿
Nah they’re just making an example because FB is the easiest target. They will essentially have to change decades of antitrust law for this to succeed because antitrust is all predicated on consumer pricing due to other court decisions. And that’s not going to happen with a 6-3 republican Supreme Court
No it’s not good, cause people are too retarded to see how retarded this case is. Our stock is likely going to tank as this dumbass case drags on for years
You won’t be alone. IMHO the only company that really needs reigning in is amazon.
Couldn’t agree more, this is my thoughts exactly. The suit is so obviously bullshit, but it’s probably going to hamstring the stock price because people don’t know any better
The FTC reviewed and approved the purchase of instagram and WhatsApp at the time of purchase. Does the FTC have a case?!
If they divest, they should ask for refund of all the related past penalties
Lol. After Zuck donated personal money to help dems win this election. https://www.npr.org/2020/12/08/943242106/how-private-money-from-facebooks-ceo-saved-the-2020-election
