I'm having to chose between 2 job offers (both contracts pay the same). SF is a more interesting role working on events, marketing campaigns for top clients, product messaging etc. Facebook is more analytical and supporting clients with product adoption, analysing how product has been going for them, metrics etc. I want to move into marketing so SF sounds like the way but FB is more in line with my overall career so far (media/tv). I'm in a region so less roles.
How long is each contract which has a better path to conversion? FB has more perks (food, swag, amenities) where as salesforce has none so take that into account.
I think both will be similar. Both roles will need to exist post contract but FB often has no head count so SF more likely I reckon
Not true. Salesforce definitely has perks like swag and amenities (puppyforce...workout classes...private meditation rooms...treadmill desks...$100 monthly stipend on anything you consider ‘wellness’ (cooking, working out, spa, etc), amazing health benefits.... etc). The only difference is no cafeteria but there’s a TON of FREE food (candy, chips, crackers, cookies, peanut [and almond] butter, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals (hot and cold), cheese snacks, granola bars, trail mix, chocolate covered pretzels, beef and turkey jerky, mixed nuts, hummus, carrots, guacamole, salsa, hard boiled eggs, etc etc). Plus, every type of drink you could imagine.
Easy choice, salesforce!
Marketing with a tech background will always set you apart. Undergrad computer engineering and I have rarely had trouble finding jobs north of 200k,,..plus it's just fun
What kind of role do you do? What's day to day duties are like? Thank you!
Director of product marketing for startups primarily but some larger firms as well. I have moved on to leading marketing but product marketing is a great place to start because very few marketing people have any technical chops. The more you can market and be technically smart the better off you will be
Sales force. Facebook does not sound like the role you want.
Anyone here from Salesforce marketing team ? Would love to connect
