Marqeta Offer
Recently got an offer from Marqeta TC 300k The position is Remote senior SWE. Also have an Meta/FB E4 offer. The TC is similar to marqeta's, but first year is a bit higher with big sign on. I feel Marqeta is still under fast growing, and the stock may have a bigger potential in the next few years? How's the work, WLB, at Marqeta? Is there any refreshers? TC 220k. YOE ~5 #marqeta #meta
Meta might be good to join rn since their stock’s at a discount plus prestige (whatever’s left). Upside seems less riskier with meta. But I cant say anything about Marqueta without knowing anything about them. Make it a poll
I recently joined Marqeta and it's really been amazing till now Good wlb, encouraging and healthy environment. Nice team and yeah they are growing well. So I would say Marqeta is a good choice

I am on the product engineering side . My TC is still less than an SWE but I don't worry about it
Meta is in trouble recently, plus probably not remote friendly line Marqeta. What are you going to do in Meta? Instagram is losing to Tiktok. The only thing attractive there is metaverse, but I don't know when it will take off. I have not been using FB except for buying things from local sellers. At least in Marqeta you get to touch fintech and potentially blockchain.
One risk to recognize - Marqueta is growing but synonymous with Cashapp growth. The moment Block/Square pulls out they will be in huge trouble in current form - majority of their revenue is due to $SQ .
How long did they take to get back to you with the offer after your final interview?
For marqeta, it's quite fast, within 2 days after onsite.
Hi - how many rounds of interview with Marqeta did you have?
Also did a full loop with Marqeta recently, but haven’t heard back yet. Some Glassdoor posts say Marqeta recruiters tend to ghost after onsite interviews

@nyc22: after I emailed my recruiter, I got a follow up video call from my recruiter at the end of March. They are moving forward with an offer, but told me they do not have headcount for Q1. She updated me yesterday they are still working on the headcount numbers for Q2. I got offers from other companies, not sure I want to keep waiting on Marqeta
I would go with the Meta, brand name , opportunity to work with the smart folks
