Guys, Now that orange man is a goner, are the prospects of doing MS better in the US? YOE-over 4 TC- 22lpa WORK IS SHIITTT!! Work on non-SWE role, data engineering, and some DevOps work ... Would appreciate your advice. Not creating a poll, as I need to hear your opinions, experienced blinders :) #engineering #software #swe
Work is shit here as well unless you are a brilliant developer or solutions engineer or something like that.
Lol. Why waste such large amount of money. You can do it from any other friendly country. Trump or not, nobody gives a shit about you.
At this point in time it's worth it if you want to come here and earn/save money for a few years, experience a different culture etc, just don't focus on settling down and being a citizen, it's a 100+ year wait. A good balance is moving to the UK. That would mean being less aggressive in the money you make, but the trade off is a much better quality of life than SF, for example.
MS itself is overrated. Anyway there are good universities in Canada, Asia and Europe if you are looking to learn. People come to do MS in US just for jobs and immigration and seldom to learn.

Master degree in US is and was always worth it, irrespective of the orange man. If you want to do MS only for learning and not for migrating to US, online MS is also worth it.
