I’ve a Bachelor’s degree, worked as a software engineer for 8 years and later moved to product management. Have worked in this role for about ~8 years now. Planning to do my Masters degree (part time) but I have been itching to go back to being a developer. Any suggestions on sticking to Management and do an MBA or do an MS?
What’s your reason for “itching” for either of them? Do you really need it/them for either of these roles? If the answer is no to both of them then save your money for something better.
Once a developer, always a developer. Itching not because it will be useful for any role. Want to go back being a developer.
Masters part time as in an online degree?
Not online. Part time as in either evening or weekend classes. There are a few options. Online might not work - it’s just hard to focus if you are sitting at home.
After seeing many tech directors with just bachelors and non tech degrees from tier n university, i have lost faith in such degrees .. lol 😂.. street smart> book smart? Huh 🤔

BREAKING: Internal sources confirm another round of layoffs just hit emails at Tesla. For real.
Nobody cares if you have an MS if you already have 8 YOE. If you want to get back to coding why do an mba. So take the money you’d spend on masters and buy BTC.
Lol, yes that’s god advise too…
