Which one would you recommend? And why?

I am adding a Poll for this and would love to understand the rationale (such as: Less conversion rates, low rate of failures, good customer support, ...etc) if you can share any insights via comment.

What I am thinking is; we can segregate the plans (say: Selling off the ESPP as and when stocks are deposited into our account while retaining the RSUs for longterm) and have clear visibility as to how many & where the RSUs are lying and how the growth of them is been.

The 10% discount you get on purchase shows up as "Taxable Perquisite" in your Tax Calculation and deducted from your income. Once you have the stocks in your account, treated the same as other stocks and capital gains are taxed on sale.

  • Any advantages of having Morgan Stanley?

    • That's not actual advantage. That has more to do with self control and management. I was looking for actual advantage like lower brokerage, lower conversion fees, faster settlement etc

Yeah...I posted this thread to understand those aspects too.
Remembering credentials is not a problem for me, but I just wanted to differentiate both the set of assets and manage separately..

  • Fidelity purely because managing two accounts is a pain in the ass. You can't use Morgan Stanley for ESPP
