Wondering what is an average salary for Mechanical engineer in Bay Area with 5yrs experience?
110k my guess
My brother is a graduate from UCLA and has more of aerospace design and testing related experience. So trying to evaluate what would be salary range for him and see if its worth the move from SoCal to NorCal
120-130k
For advanced degrees + 5 yrs, you can expect 120-150k base plus RSUs
If he is getting apple, fb ,google or amazon, only then it makes sense. Otherwise no point as 120 k is like poverty line in bay area due to such a high cost of living
That’s true at Applied. 120K - 135K base for 5 years of experience. However, it’s still depends on your level.
Damn that's low even by tier 2 standards
70k rsu per year?
150k 6 yoe, +bonus 180k +Rsus (TC) 300k/year or something I would say that should be standard in Bay Area. If you’re getting less than 130k in Bay Area as ME, you probably should find a better pay. TC 300k should be everyone’s min goal with 5-7 years of experience.
If ur experience is outside usa... It doesn't count.
5yrs experience in USA
