I was wonder about the following, any insight into these would be of great help! - How is the job market for Mechanical/Thermal engineers - Are any companies hiring Mechanical/Thermal engineers with 3-4 years of experience - As colleagues or hiring managers, What skills are companies looking for? - How can I improve my skills to be more relevant. Thank you! Mechanical engineer at a start up - very low TC
Am aerospace, switched to SWE. Fuck bring ME it was a waste of time. Although I’m pretty knowledgeable about how to build shit now lol (physical shit)
- Good - Amazon - - Nothing much. Good degree from good school, preferably PhD. Good experience after graduation. Like SWEs you cannot just improve yourself in a month.
Thank you! I will try applying at Amazon!
I've mostly met people who have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and are now SWEs....
I've heard of this before, but didn't meet anyone who made a successful transition. Isn't getting an MBA degree more common path?
