Hi, I have a mechanical engineering degree and been working for almost 5 years now. Long story short, I find the software space has a much more pulse than my current career path, great community and I enjoy writing code. I am a self taught android programmer with 2 freelancing project under my belt and ready to apply for jobs, I'm currently 30 years old and would like to ask for advice into how can I get my foot in the door in getting a software engineer job in java, I'm also prepping for my OCA and OCP exam to prove to employers my seriousness in my transition, thanks!
It is certificate saying you have knowledge in java
Get a job by applying?
Sure, but will recruiters be out off by me not having a computer science degree?
What’s OCA and OCP?
