Mechanical/Thermal Engineer at consumer electronics

Hello blinders, I am trying to migrate to the bay area to work in consumer electronics. Any mechanical/thermal engineer currently working at the bay area? Any suggestions about what skills are required to stand out as an applicant? I have experience in thermal analysis and simulations but not on electronic devices. I am fluent in using tools like Matlab/python/tableau to process and analyze large data sets. Any insights will be really helpful! Thanks!

How's your hunt going?

Cummins elect Feb 20, 2020

Pretty inconclusive! Few openings and very rarely get a call from any recruiter. Then they reject or ghost me as I don’t have consumer electronics experience. Are you working as a ME at Amazon?

Nope I'm a swe. My wife is a ME and she is looking for a change from Auto to consumer electronics, in the same boat as you.
