Agreed. I had a surprise $300 bill from Kaiser for a Covid test back in august when I took a rapid test to travel to Hawaii. I didnt know I even had a bill until I got a text saying “your bill will soon go to collections.” I paid it, but it’s bs. Turns out Kaiser didn’t cover it since I hadn’t gone through my deductible yet for the year. Now the rapids are free lmao.

  Next time call and negotiate it. When they send a bill to collections they write it off so you do have some negotiating power.
