Mensa, Gifted on resume & linkedin yes or no?

I was in Gifted as a child. Saw some new resumes with Mensa on resume. Graduated from Stanford hope this will help me stand out. Should I just add it to education section?

Saying you graduated from Stanford is enough to get the point across

I would be surprised if the majority of people knew what Mensa was (compared to names of a few Ivy League schools) There may be software that looks for keywords like this but resume space is valuable and would reserve it for things you want to be asked about and are most relevant to your position - would value something more recent if you're right on space

What is mensa?

Applied Medical decrypt Jan 19, 2020

It literally means stupid in Spanish.

Why do I keep hearing that high iq correlates with high emotional iq, and then see posts like this?

Facebook sxjj41 Jan 19, 2020

It’s an inverse correlation - high iq = low eq though the definition of eq is unreliable

Amazon 🙈TC Jan 19, 2020

They are not correlated. They are independent of each other.

Do you want to pay $100 to the pretentious snobbish Mensa club to use the word Mensa on your resume ?

Yes

High IQ does not translate directly to good employee. A lot of high IQ people have poor social skills and are just sometimes assholes. If I saw Mensa on a resume I’d probably assume you have a big ego.

Capital One ender🐉 Jan 19, 2020

This suggests during university, someone does give shits?

Yeah you should definitely put it at the top of your resume in big letters. That will be a great warning to potential employers that they shouldn’t give you a job
