Hello All, Any tips for negotiating DE IC5 offer with meta? Current offer: Base :179 Equity: 250 (4 years ) Bonus: 15% Sign on : Based on whatever I am loosing at my current org. TC: 270k YOE:8 Additional question for fb DE: Does location impacts kind of projects and groups ? I am confused between Seattle and NYC. Note: I don't have any counter offer and any equity from existing employer. I am waiting for final round with apple (similar role) . Above offer is their base offer for ic5
You are getting E4 levels. You are worth more than that. Check levels.fyi
E4 is for Software Development. I have applied for Data Engineer , the pay scale is lesser than software engineer.
Well, if Blind TC has any value to you then you can search for FB IC5 DE. Their numbers align with E5. I'm honestly interested because I have the onsite interview in a few weeks.
It looks on the lower side for Seattle, also depends on how well your performed in interview. Try asking for more it can go till 350 afak
You could go higher on base. 190 and RSU 320
Op- can you share your interview exp?
Positive experience. Lot of logical and analytical thinking is involved. If you are going to appear for the interview, below are few pointers : 1. Always stick to what recruiter says in terms of topics to be covered. 2. Preparation guides shared by them is on point. 3. Read financial quarterly reports of big companies to get an idea on operational KPIs. 4. Think how can you use public datasets and data (related to your product) to make it better.
I've heard SF FB DSA IC5 max out at 350k TC. Seattle could be 10-15% less Tell them that you're really grateful for the offer and you think it'll be a great fit for you, but you're hearing slightly higher numbers from other recruiters (15-20% more) you're interviewing with. "Is there anything you can do to close the gap?" At a min you should try to push for 300k TC. Best of luck
I got exactly same offer for Seattle and MPK
Sqlman : Did you negotiate? The openings are closing real fast in Seattle.
OP did you negotiate successfully without a counter?
What was the offer they ended up giving you?
What the latest update ? How you negotiated?
?????

Your ability to negotiate depends on how much you are willing to walk away. Ive seen them offer close to 400k for this position in Bay area
