Recently promoted (last psc) to E6 MLE at Meta. Got an L6 Applied Scientist offer from Amazon with 40-50% TC bump. Should I switch?
From levels.fyi, Amazon L6 is Meta E5-6 equivalent. I’m worried this would be career regression.
But the new team in Amazon looks promising and I liked the hiring managers during the chat.

The advantage is that you could come in and quickly work your way to principal if you get the right scope and backing.
Most L6s who've been in the role for 2+ yrs are pretty high functioning tech leads. Where they serve as smes, tech leads, and consultants to upper management. The scope def there.
Edit: also +1 to what meta above said.
>>>Good thing at amazon is that you will be working on projects which are really needed. Projects don't get approved like here, so less of control on your own wish what you want to work on/
Are you saying project don’t get approved easily in meta? I don’t quite follow
