Have an upcoming Meta interview, applied to Infra, coming from mostly Product eng. background.

Does system design interview differ based on track you have applied? Google's SRE book mentioned SRE interviews are tougher than usual SWE track

    For system design rounds they have two different options: product and infra focused. They’re quite similar but for the former it’ll probably be a user-facing system and for the latter it could be some foundational technology (like a KV store). Expectations may differ and your recruiter would be able to advise.

      They want you to succeed, especially at senior levels, so they should give you targeted advice. If you go through bootcamp it does not matter much what you chose in the first place (product vs infra). May influence matching but does not restrict.
