Pay: Amazon (heard it’s 300k plus). Microsoft won’t come close at all…maybe 200k max.
Wlb: Microsoft
Benefits: Microsoft
Culture: Microsoft, NO PIP like Amazon although you can be managed out.
The question is: are Microsoft advantages worth the 100k difference in pay? I don’t think so.
Still, I’d choose Microsoft. I’m just a new grad so you probably don’t want to listen to me. Learning wise, I think Microsoft has been awesome so far (modern tech stack, plenty of responsibility, great project and amazing wlb with the regular on-call).
Best of luck.
MSFT will be a better option to grow and hit bigger home run in the next jump.
