To all folks who say choose Microsoft for a great WLB have never worked in Azure Hardware Org. As a senior engineer, the pay is really shit. I have multiple projects that I need to work on, require working 12-15 hrs/day and weekends just to meet deadlines, plus on-call support once every month.
SLT, doesn’t care about how much stress they are putting on ICs and team lead by having unrealistic deadlines. No one factors in on-call support, but they will start badgering you if your team’s IcMs start increasing. You are supposed to take care of all IcMs that come across plus keep program schedule on track.
And, after all of that you get target performance bonus and stocks which are 🥜🥜
For people who are going to comment VWYF, I would love to do that. But, I don’t have time to LC because of current projects I’m responsible for and my 2yr old kid.

Msft is very unlikely to fire you, and promos give 🥜 here anyways so no real incentive to burn yourself out trying to carry an understaffed and overworked team/org.
Use your backup care benefit wisely to leetcode during weekends is my advise.
