Microsoft Azure Compute
Does anyone have any insight into how good the Microsoft Azure Compute team is? I’ve heard the wlb balance is not the greatest, but is that true? Is it better than Amazon’s? How is the team culture, tech stack?
Compute is a large org. Do you know which team? In general, high quality engineers (especially at Senior+ levels) and bad work life balance, mostly due to extremely heavy on call load.
I work in Azure Compute and wlb isn't great but isn't so terrible that you would regret joining the org. For most teams on-call weeks are brutal but some teams have split rotations across Redmond and India so you end up being on-call for 12 hours a day during your rotation as opposed to all day. On the bright side, not a lot of low quality engineers in Compute.

I did the compute and the wlb is around 23.67%
How precise ;) - but so is the wlb decent? Which team were you on?
lol no. It’s common knowledge that Azure compute and Azure storage have awful WLB.
