I got an SDE offer with Microsoft Azure Compute team in Redmond. HR said it to be L60. I have a Master's degree in CS and 2 yrs experience working in Bay area since. Base 110k Stocks 20k (spread across 4 years) Sign on bonus 10k Annual stocks 6k (performance based) Annual bonus 20% (performance based) Is this offer standard for Redmond? I expect it to be much higher than this.
Even low for new grad offer, but within range
I graduated 2 years back. Been working since
Masters in CS and 2 years of industry experience you shouldnt join as an entry level developers. Because most entry level developers get promoted within 2 years of joining. Ask recruiter to up level you to at least 61 or fuck off.
Lol 2 yrs out of school...how much more do you expect? Good luck
20k stocks over 4 years and that's pre-tax lol. Offer is low end. Base is not bad, could be closer to 117k. Also, expect your bonus to be 10%. 20% is for top 5% of people or so, very rare to get.
Can I ask for a level up L61?
I doubt they will without competing offer. Don't get me wrong, congrats on getting an offer, it is in range, just on the low end of L60. Midpoint is 117k base, and stocks is your best negotiating spot with largest wiggle room.
that's an l59 base
What !! Why msft is so frugal ? Don’t do it unless u are dying for it
Accept it and then leave for a Faang within a year
Microsoft won’t give level up. In same shoes and received an offer. You can negotiate base and stocks. DM for more info.
Below avg base and stocks. Do not count on the 20% bonus. Thats only for top performers.
You can get much more if you get a competing offer. What you got is less than what they offer to new grads
