I recently interviewed at Microsoft Azure in Seattle and it went well, the recruiter told me he is working on the offer numbers. I do not know the level yet, expecting 63 or 64. What TC can I expect if hired as level 64, what difference would be if hired as L63 ? The TC breakdown would be super helpful. Is Azure TC competitive with Oracle BMC,I see on blind folks are getting well into 300-400k territory with BMC offers. Current TC: 210k
L64 will be around 250TC
Does Azure pay better than other MS groups ? Can a competing offer significantly drive up the comp or not much ?
Compete offer is the best way to get more money. But at Azure managers tend to look down at Oracle Cloud and won’t usually negotiate on that. It’s kind of like if you are going to Oracle then you are not good at making judgement and anyways will come back asking for a job in a year or so. This is first hand info and not meant to put down Oracle people. Saying it explicitly since there is a core group of Oracle cloud folks here who vigorously defend OCI against any criticism by saying it’s cool and lots of money
I want to reiterate op's question Does Azure pay better than other MS groups ? Can a competing offer significantly drive up the comp or not much ? This is a great question and any info would be helpful to many blinders
How Did you attend that interview ? Is through Hiring Event or employee referral ?
The classic: a recruiter contacted me through Linkedin
That would be a great help if you can DM me the recruiter name ? I’m also looking for new opportunities in Microsoft Azure.
All groups in MS are paid same. Azure vs other groups no difference. Having said that growth opportunities probably are better at Azure. I recommend to join for career.
Not true. Especially for industry hires.
What’s an industry hire? 😅
If money is your thing bmc will give u truck load
Money is not everything, but the knowledge is the power, hence asking folks here.
