Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud team?
At a bigger sense, which team one should join as a new grad (masters student). Azure is doing better than GCP ( atleast what internet say), hence is it better to join than google cloud teams? Any help is appreciated !
Azure seems fairly silo’d in Microsoft technologies. If you like that, go for it. If you want to work in a more agnostic environment, GCP
Although Azure is doing better scope at GCP may be bigger for you. Also company wise you will be at a better place. With gcp experience you can go to Azure or aws later.
Azure. They will over take AWS in the next 7 years or so.

You have suffered a 24 hour outage for an entire region and what does GCP has? Few instances lasting several minutes. You don't know how to read or interpret the Azure dashboard. Shame on you for 24 hour outage for entire region

Also, it’d be always easier for you to move to MS from Google than the opposite. However, azure teams promote people quickly so you could get a senior in 4-5 years when in google I guess you’d need 2x more time to get to L5
Not true in the least. Nothing blocking anyone at ms from going to google. And azure success is reflected in your paycheck albeit indirectly.
It doesn't matter whether the product is no1 or no2 in the market unless you are given a leadership position. Duh! I would join Google given that TI has highly competent engineers.
Microsoft is a shithole for the way they treat employees. Take this from a current Microsoft employee. Google all the way.
Over google cloud specifically I would say azure , over any other team I would say google . The forecast is that azure is expected to climb and honestly the stocks are doing the talking
Azure is a marketing product not an engineering team. Look at the quality of code written in Compute org. It is horrible at best.
