I’m not sure what to wear to an interview for a position in finance. Traditionally, finance roles are very formal but I’m not sure what the culture is at Microsoft. Will a nice skirt and cardigan suffice or should I go formal with a suite? Any help is appreciated.
Nice skirt and cardigan is fine. Suit also fine.
Either, recommend well ironed blue shirt, slacks and sport coat, but ideally dress in whatever gives you confidence
For my finance gig at Google, I was explicitly told not to dress formally. I wore a white button down and khaki pants. Felt very weird. Felt business casual was a safe compromise.
Always formal if it’s Finance related
