Microsoft Interview question: why would you leave AWS to join Azure?

Dec 28, 2018 24 Comments

Asking for a friend: I have an upcoming informational and am pretty sure I will be asked: why would you leave AWS to join Azure? I love AWS and Azure, but could use a better TC. My manager is good so I can't blame him for the move. Both compute... So it's apples to apples on business line.

Even if you were fleeing a bad manager this is something never to say in an interview

    • Oh. Well, it's generally a bad idea to trash talk your current manager to a hiring manager. It's just poor form, regardless of whether your current manager will find out. Plus, they'll immediately be wondering other stuff, like what you'll say about them in the future, whether you'll cause morale problems by trashtalking, etc.

“Asking for a friend”. To be honest I don’t know why people do this. It doesn’t hurt if you ask questions
