Hello All! First time post, so I will try to include all the details in my question :) I have an upcoming L65 interview with Microsoft in Redmond and am curious of the base salary range and TC for this role. The job description states Director, but after reading commentary around L65 here, it doesn't appear that L65 is a Director grade level. I am hoping someone can clarify this for me as well. My current TC is $300k with 20 YOE in Supply Chain. Looking for input on what to expect for (assuming all goes well): Base Salary Sign on RSU Bonus (from what I have read, its 0-40% with an average of 20-25%) Refresher Thanks in advance for your help and let me know if I missed anything that needs to be added.
I have seen L67 or sometimes L66 call themselves Sr. Director
65 is principal. First band. Think of it like freshman year of high school. 66/soph-junior. 67/senior. 68/partner
Nah they all have the same title. Principal.
Director is a role, 65 is a level. Not necessarily related but often are. In many orgs in Microsoft, especially Services, L65 managers tend to be called directors. For engineering in Product, you might have to go 3 levels up.
L65 is also called director
