Microsoft L65 comp range?
Cleared all my interviews. I Expect to have a conversation with the recruiter on comp in a couple of days. What are the standard ranges for L65 in the bay area? Thanks in advance! Yoe: 11 Current TC: 330k
Make sure it actually is 65. They tried to sneak me 64 in.
^This. Microsoft tries to down level to reduce risk of hiring people who could be stuck in that role and can’t get promoted In case of downleveling, you can still negotiate hard and ask for level 65 salary. If you are good they will make sure you don’t lose money due to downleveling ;)
Was the interview setup for L65? I have onsite coming. So do I need to set the expectation early?

Same thing happened to me.
Recent 65, my total comp is close to your TC, in Bay Area, you should expect around 360K. Also, 64 to 65 is a high bar and promotion needs to be approved by CVP so try to come in at 65.
