I have 2+ years of experience as L65 (EM role), expecting a promo next year Aug 2021. Overall industry experience of 15 years. I have got the offer for Salesforce Director. Financials still being discussed. TC is not a significant criterion for the move. I am looking for a good charter and WLB. Just concerned whether I am being down-leveled here? Is it worth the move? What is the max offer I can expect from Salesforce for this level? Current TC: 310K, YOE: 15 #Microsoft #salesforce #tc #rsu
That makes sense. The lesson is Do not stay at any company for too long unless you got promoted consistently.
WLB at Salesforce from what I hear is great... 65 to director from what I know is same level. Shoot for senior director.
Have you seen folks going at Senior Director from level 65? It would be good to have some data points for the recruiter. So far looks like he is not going budge anything beyond Director. It is with the Infra team.
A few years ago a friend went over as a 65 to a senior director. He was well connected within SF though.
Salesforce director TC is $300-$350k from what I have seen. WLB is VERY good, I am a director and an IC so dont even have to manage any people. Senior Director is typically the big jump in both comp and responsibility. Rare to see Sr director as an IC and not a team manager, but it can happen. Only real downside is our stock refresh is pretty weak so negotiate hard for a lot of stock up front. It could be a few years before you see any more...

Does msft really pay this low?
Sorry to see such low TC at level 65. Are you sure you calculated TC correctly? Seems like you haven’t included stocks.
Considering msft's refresher policy, OP probably has no significant stocks 🤣
It is including stock. I joined Microsoft around six years back and got a very low offer. Didn't have Blind back then :-), I am hoping it would get better with this change...
