Hey everyone I applied to a Senior Program Manager position in azure and immediately received a call from hiring manager (it was a super good convo he said i’m the person for the job). Also said his position was a Principal and an M2 and i would be reporting directly to him. I see a lot of different levels principal being l65-l67 so what is the M2 meaning? Would i be an L63-64 and an M1? Also a TC idea would be great. current 8yoe 165k tc #microsoft #salaries #level
Senior is 63-64
ahh oh so not super high level . tc be like 250 at azure ?
Check out levels.fyi
I know about levels.fyi however they don’t have Senior Program Managers they do have l63 l64 ect but it’s always for swe and stuff so just wondering if it was same or different
They have PM as well, with pay ranges. Senior mapping is the same
Senior pm is typically an IC role. M2 means manager of manager. Just because you report to an M2 doesn't make you an M1. It's kind of like if you report to a director who has multiple engineer managers below him and you are the only engineer. That doesn't necessarily mean that you are equivalent to the engineering managers. But reporting to an M2 typically provides you with more visibility.
thank you for the explanation. And do those L-bands i list sort of map? senior PM would be l64-65
