My OPt just started but I want to get O1 if H1b is not accepted. What is Microsoft policy for O1 in first 6months/1 year as I don’t want to wait for 3 years. I am applying for green card and won’t be able to extend STEM OPT. Thanks!

Check with your lawyer if you are eligible for even O1 since you have already applied for green card.

Seriously if your lawyer knew that your stem extension has not been filed and suggesting filing i485, fire that idiot and get someone who knows wtf he's doing. Check out Victoria Chen's firm. Wegreened.com or something like that.

You fucking idiot. You should do your green card after your stem extension. You may have screwed yourself out of 2yrs extension
