I recently received an offer from Microsoft for an L60 position.
I have seen posts claiming they are not returning until September.
I have also seen the new policy for 50% WFH without additional approval, and up to 100% with approval.
I am currently located a ways (~1.5 hours) from Redmond and due to some personal issues will not be able to relocate for a while.
What is the likelihood that I would be able to continue to WFH after the return to office?
I have decided I could likely be able to go in once a week, possibly more if absolutely required.

Most recruiters don’t expect applicants to accept the initial offer, they anticipate some negotiation, right?
Due to personal reasons, I will not be able to relocate for a while. It's not looking very realistic for me at the moment, which is disappointing because I was excited when MS announced the "hybrid" work schedule, but driving ~3 hour roundtrip x3 days a week is not a very high QOL.
So much more time with family, pets, hobbies, etc.
Unless you live close enough to the office and your commute is negligible, I feel like your time can get sucked away in your commute quite easily.
