From each level, how hard is it to get promoted to the next level? About how much average time is spent at each level? 1. 59 to 60 2. 60 to 61 3. 61 to 62 4. 62 to 63
59-63 takes ~5 yrs average..after that it depends
Depends on how good you are, in which county, in which team, what is the current market state, how good you are on negotiating... And most important, how the budget looks like... But you shall expect 1 year at each Level until you get to 62 About 2-3 years to get to 63... And then you may camp for longer at each level. There are cases that went up to 65 with 1 promotion every year (I know only one, but the guy is exceptionally good)

could I know which group are you talking about? I have heard "1 year at each level" from several people, but rarely see such person. When I look at their profile, I see many 3-year-SDE1, 6-year-SDE2.10-year-seniors. I guess 1 year at each level is no longer possible?
Depends on team and how good you are
