Microsoft SDE2 Salary for L62
Hey #microsoft engineers, Offer with TC 135/20/50 I spoke to some of my friends in MS at L61 and they said their base is lower than this. Friends at L62 said this is about right, however stocks could be more. When I posted this in Blind many said this is very low. I have already accepted the offer last year and due to issues with Visa I can only join now. Can I really get some honest feedback from people working at Microsoft about this package? Inputs appreciated from all genders, levels and experience. Also this is New England region, not West coast. I already accepted the offer. Can anything be done now?

My base as a newly promoted L62 at Microsoft was $147k, and $133k as L61
From mathworks this is the best you get unless you have competing offers. I did the same from mathworks :)
My base as L62 is 136k. Get a competing offer to bump this up. You could get to 145k+ and a lot more stock.
What is your stock options? Also what location?

This is kind of low ball which will be recovered during a promo or rewards cycle.
It's Microsoft. What can you expect. If you want to optimize your TC and you are good, get offers from FB, uber, etc.
Get offer for L5 from Amazon, ask MSFT to match their stock grants. The stock grant is weak. To clarify $50k over 4 years is weak. $50k per year is not.
I was 62 until last year, my base was 145+, it was probably on the higher end, 135 is not bad.
