I got SSA of 100k for the first time. Feels good.
Can someone please help understand how common is it and what is the typical amount?

1. You need to be a top performer and in the 140 bracket
2. The manager sees you as a risk of leaving the org or the company
3. The manager is not ok with you leaving
4. The manager has no good contingency plan for you
Now M1 manager has no authority to give you an SSA so he has to make this case to M2 and the LT. The manager has to really explain in detail and especially why as a manager he hasnโt taken care of #4 since that doesnโt look good in him. If he makes a good case then SSA is approved. Hence the award is so special. Hope this helps ๐
When you say worked your ass off, what exactly does that mean? Like what were you doing?
