Is it true many Indian couples are in sexless marriage?
That's about what I got for PM L61, except I didn't get a cash or clearance sign on. I don't think you have much room to negotiate but might as well try.
thanks for the heads up. I think it's a wonderful salary, but am unfamiliar with tech $$$ so wanted to see if I was making the most of the situation
It never hurts to ask for more. I would probably ask for more stock, that's the weakest point of your offer IMO (they started me at $15k and went to $30 when I told them it was lacking, and that's still low).
Are they not giving you an annual clearance bonus? I just signed my offer as a new grad with TS/SCI + FSP and I didn’t get a one time clearance bonus but 25% bonus annually.
Hmm. I've heard this in passing, great to find someone where it's applicable. I was hoping they'd do an annual incentive but at the moment it is a 20% of base, one-time payment. Unless I heard the terms wrong over the phone. They offered that 25% annual bonus right off the bat? No negotiation?
Yea I don’t think it’s a negotiable thing but positional. TS/SCI + On call nets you 25%, just an attribute of the jobs which require it instead of something in the offer letter, at least as far as I know. Definitely something to bring up though.
Is 30k/ year?
To be honest, not sure. The terms were read to me over the phone from the recruiter, I'll have to ask for a physical copy. Sounded like a one time thing for signing though (1yr).
What kind of clearance do you have? A top secret clearance or a secret?
TS/SCI, no poly yet.
Stock grant go go waaaaay higher if you get competing offers. My MS L61 offer (also 2 YoE) was 135k base 200k stock over 4 years 50k cash signing, this was after negotiation with offers from G & FB though, initial offer was lower.
Damn! When you say offers from those other companies, you had already passed on-site interviews and were extended a formal compensation package? Did you share the compensation the other two were offering or just mention you had offers? As mentioned in my post I have an on-site interview with Amazon coming up, I am not sure if that's enough leverage or if I have to secure the formal offer before asking msoft for more.
Yep, had verbal offers extended from both: G (L3) : 130k/212k/45k FB (E4): 160k/200k/25k MS basically matched my offers after negotiating, and the tipping point for me was G & FB were for the bay area but MS was for Colorado, which is a much better fit for us. Hope that info helped - nail that amazon interview so you can have some more leverage!
Yoe?
2 yoe, however it is as a software eng in aerospace and my degree isn't in CS (related though). Didn't seem to bother any of the interviewers, ended up choosing from two groups at msoft.
