Microsoft Visa Evaluation before offer is a pain already !
MS Visa evaluation is taking ages ! First they kept on asking me for every god damned document that no employer has ever asked then they evaluated my case incorrectly ( saying I’m out of the US so will have to go thru H1B petition via Consulate Prodessing). I pointed that out and now its taking them forever to fix that. My recruiter ia not ready to budge until the Visa Evaluation is done ( all right ) ? To people on H1B who have received offers from Microsoft how was your experience ?
Standard process. Not optional. I guess there are lot of candidates who assume that Microsoft will somehow work the visa part out. They make sure you're fully eligible to avoid wasting everyone's time
I understand that and most firm do it tho not this extensively.... I’m on H1B with an approved I-140 so it’s not that difficult to determine my eligibility and I don’t know how on earth they thought I was not in the country when I submitted the latest visa entry stamp and I-94
Agree. Went through the same and not a fan of this process.
So Are you in the US or not? If not then you cant come over until October 2020. Even thats a big if, considering you need to win a lottery

Smh. These overpaid lawyers have one fuckin job and they cant even do that correctly
I told HR my passport was being held at the a consulate for Visa stamping and was able to delay the process until I got the offer. Just find an excuse to delay it until you get the offer.
I have already submitted everything... I’m waiting on them to fix their incorrect evaluation
I have been told to do this even before onsite, is this the same with you all?
I was asked to do it before an offer was extended ... tell them you’d like to do it once you’re being extended the offer else you’re handing over a bunch of your personal information to a firm that may even not interview you let alone extend an offer
Exactly what I was thinking, it's even more painful if you get reject after interview. Did they agree to you when you asked for it be done later?
Wait till you get an RFE. I got an RFE for COE to Microsoft.
And then ?
This is just the beginning. Expect to get worse.
