Recruiter reached out, and I was shocked at how low the comp is. $115-120k base, no signing bonus, annual cash bonus that is 0-20% of base, equity grant that vests 5% every 3 months. She wouldn't tell me the value of the grant.
I am assuming you are non tech , so doesn't really surprise me . Nothing against non tech just that supply and demand
Do you have a top MBA? Is it in the Bay Area? Answering yes to both would start you at ~$200k TC
Finance manager title is for level 60 or 61 and the comp is in that range for Finance. Also note that level 61 in Finance is not the same as level 61 in Engineering orgs. The scope at 61 in Finance is pretty broad.
OP, can you elaborate on how this all played out for you? I am considering a Sr Mgr role, haven't gotten a hard offer yet (soft offer after Super Day). Initial soft offer during phone call w/recruiter was way lower than my expectations and current base. I live in the Bay Area currently so already factored in a lower COL in Seattle.
Got offer from amazon for finmace level6.5 and the comp was same as sr fin mgr in msft. Also heard the same from people i know in msft

300k fully remote vs 450k 3x RTO, which would you choose?
How many years of experience do you have? This sounds like level 60/61 which is fairly junior. Target grant is $10k i think.
$10k vesting over 5 years? That seems way too low.
Yes, but you get $10k every year. I think amazon sr fin analyst (comparable to msft finance mgr) makes same? Whats your total comp now?
