Went to Microsoft hiring event last week, met with a director and finished total of 4 rounds of interviews where I got all positive feedback. Then the director told me an offer will be on my way. Today, I got an email from HR saying more interviews are under process for other candidates and a decision will be made shortly from the hiring team. What's the process and how much longer should I expect? I thought the director already made it clear that I will get an offer for sure. Has his happened to any of you?
Lol. If the director were picky on that, I probably applied for the wrong domain.
Curious what are you currently doing at Texas Children’s Hospital? Is MSFT hiring you as generalist Software Eng or some specialization
It will be too obvious if I tell you what I do at tch. I can only say the position is about modern desktop at MSFT.
How soon do they reply after the ots? Like max?!
In my case, roughly 2 weeks
Did you get hired?
Classic put in the waiting list :) It just means they are arbitraging you to an unicorn (someone they think fits in the shoe)
The article(a/an) that precedes a word is largely dependent on the way the first syllable of that word is pronounced, though many people follow the rule that words beginning with vowels must be preceded by 'an' and words beginning with consonants must be preceded by 'a'. Here, unicorn begins with the vowel 'u' but it's pronounced more or less like 'yoo'. 'Unicorn' begins with a consonant sound, so we use 'a' before it. Some other examples are: a user, an honour, a university, a European.
Doesn't the director have the final saying?
