I’ve found some MSFT openings that look interesting. What would be the best way to get attention from recruiters and/or hiring managers? Another post said it’s hard to catch their eyes by just applying on their careers page. Edit: I don’t know any current MSFT employee that can refer me.
apply to the job
Heard it might not be the ideal way. So Trying to find an effective way to apply.
I can refer you.
Thanks. DMed you
Can I get a referal too? Please.. :p
When you do find someone for a referral, have them contact the hiring manager before you apply. A quick conversation can bring you to the top of the list and also let you know if one or both of you would be wasting your time, depending on what the actual job requirements are and what level they are looking for.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Sure thing. And good luck. A lot of job titles and even job descriptions don't have a lot of consistency or bearing on what the job will actually entail. For example, you'll see a lot of 63 and 64 level positions without a senior in the title, and half the time it's simply because someone forgot to put it in there.
Referral by a current MSFT employee
Thanks. What if I don’t know anyone at Microsoft?
