I have an upcoming hiring event for the odsp org. How likely are systems design questions and if there are some mostly asked ones? Also what type and difficulty are the coding/algo questions asked?
System design questions are asked for SDE II and above. Refer leetcode last 6 months question at Microsoft , you should be good
Pay sucks, be prepared
Ohh ok what would be the max range for base salary
Pay is above Amazon standard offers. Below stock inflated ones. I’ve done enough hiring within MS now that they’re being very competitive. Problem is that they’re willing to hire lower caliber programmers so their entry level SDE is lower than Amazon’s entry level which creates a perceived pay disparity. Level for level new MS offers beat our new Amazon offers.
Can someone get senior software engineer.? In these hiring events?
Don’t join!
Why? Any specific reason
Is that because of this specific team ?
Could you share your experience ? What was the difficulty level of the questions ? Sys design/OOPS design ?
I just had one. They mostly gave either a couple simple coding questions, or one with gradually more involved follow ups that may or may not be more coding. Like it may be discussion on the problem. And may or may not be executable. For me system design was mostly question/answer : "what would you do if I now change the situation to be like this". I think they are also trying to get used to purely video interviews, amd drawing with a mouse is terrible.
@RQgD64, did u end up getting an offer?
