I got an offer for Microsoft and feel like I am being undervalued but am looking here for other input. Some info: 2.5 YOE Level 60 No need for relocation Offer: (USD) Base: $115,500 Sign On Bonus: 5,000 Total Stocks: $20,000 I was thinking about counter offering for base $123k, bonus of 40k split over 2 years, and 100k stocks. Am I being unreasonable? Edit: Most of my research is from looking at Layers.fyi so I might be off base here and I dont have competing offers.
Had almost the same offer. They wouldn't budge on base but I got 15k sign on, 60k stocks
Non faang competing offer
For level 60 New Grad offer: Base $125K Stocks $150K Bonus $50K
You can probably say that new grads get offered better and that you are bringing considerable experience. There should be an increase in stocks or sign on I believe.
They don’t care
Get some competing offer, this is seriously lowballed
My TC is 160k with on hire stocks.. level 61 - is it super bad
I wouldn’t say super bad but it’s lower than my lvl 60 TC
This is a pretty sad offer for L60 You can get a lot more if you can crack Amazon
Which org is this?
You should get L61. Base 140k Signon 40 RSUs 120k should be about what you could get if you got in as l61
Is this the max?
What org? Azure has been giving out competitive initial offers

That's a huge difference between what you are asking for and what they offered. Do you have any competing offers? If not, what makes you think you are undervalued?
Mostly from what I’ve seen from layers.fyi but I do not have any competing offers.
I guess you do bring up a good point that the postings on Layers.fyi probably had competing offers.
