Microsoft sde 60 and 61 salary

What is the decent salary (base, stocks, sign on bonus, PTO) for Microsoft sde 60 and 61? I have an offer with them and going to negotiate next week. No competing offers as of now but actively interviewing. I have 5 years of experience.

That's on the 60 side, I think 61 would be closer to $125k base

Microsoft RyverPhnx Nov 10, 2017

Geez. I got only 20k stock.... :/ started at 62 though.

With 5 years of experience shouldn't you be targeting a 62? Or atleast 61, definitely not 60. 62 is ballpark 130k base, with additional sign on and stocks.

Jesus fucking Christ. Microsoft Retail employees are HELLA underpaid. I though level 60 started at 70k. I was contemplating a PM role that was level 60 but fuck me...

I mean.. it's retail. different fields and all

Microsoft rTxX10 Nov 16, 2017

"It's retail" is a great excuse and all but the Apple Store pays their sales staff over $20 an hour on their bottom tier and pay Genius' over $30+ an hour. Microsoft Retail is the only org where greater corporate for some reason are tight wads but when it comes to figuring out how to connect engineers to end users, spare no expense. They'll literally fly people first class cross country to host a Windows Insider meet up at a flagship Microsoft Store but can't be bothered to pay the employees there a living wage...
