Microsoft titles

I’m curious how the ladder works at Microsoft. I’ve seen Partner, Principal, Director, Senior... Anyone know how these compare?

Senior < Principal < Partner Director is more of a role (EM < GEM < Director). A director can be principal or partner.

A Director in the HW and marketing orgs is equal to a principal

Also lot of idiots put director in their LinkedIn profiles when in actuality they are principal SDMs managing no more than 10 SDEs. Level in MS is more believable than GEM or EM or director. 59,60 - SDE1, 61, 62 SDE2, 63,64 senior, after that get out of there or you will be director on LinkedIn to get next job.

Get out of there?

Is that a question? Please search for your coworkers on LinkedIn and you will know they don’t mention their titles after 65, they put generic things like, leader, general manager, group manager, director.
