For those who have worked at both places, could you share some experience of working culture in software development engineering? I'm not talking about the pay or benefits, obv π₯ at msft. Thanks π
Very similar engineering driven culture at both companies. LinkedIn is more fast paced, young compared to my org at Microsoft.
I thought it's rest and vest there?
A lot more autonomy and accountability in Lin. Designs for the things are bottoms up and not top down. Visibility goes to at-least 3 levels up in your hierarchy (M3 / Snr Director) Azure is closer to Amazon in spectrum than any Msft wlb driven org (E+D for example)
I see. What tech stack for backend at Li?
How about pay difference?
A lot... LinkedIn is one of the best payer in the market
Better π
What about the tech stacks?
Also wondering

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
I interviewed with LinkedIn sometime back. Engineers who interviewed me kept cutting me off before I complete my sentence. Not just one person, out of 6 rounds 5 of them were doing the same. Itβs pretty hard to reason out with individuals who have no patience to listen. Not sure I got unlucky with my interviews or if itβs cultural thing.
You could have gone off topic and they needed to bring you back to the point. Or maybe a bad day for you. Cutting people off isnβt a cultural thing at LinkedIn.
Thanks for clarifying. I might be going off topic but not even waiting until I finish half the sentence is worrisome. Btw I interviewed with Facebook as well where it was way better. I very well could have had a bad day as you said
