Got an offer from SharePoint team in Microsoft. Any thoughts on the team and the work? I interned at Uber and have an offer from them too . Which would be better? Uber or Microsoft?
Uber. Worked on SharePoint, I think the learning opportunities are limited. Great if you want to rest and vest. That being said, if you are good they do recognize that and could be fast promos. Also it's a really conversation killer when you tell someone you work on SharePoint.
Sharepoint makes more in profit in a day than Uber has made since its founding!
And that has zero effect on a new grad's compensation or growth
Of course Uber
Uber
Uber
I don’t have insight into either, but I’m a little surprised everyone is saying uber. Didn’t uber raise a shitload of money from shady sources at a ridiculous valuation? My initial instinct is that when they ipo, their stock will be shorted into the ground and your 100k RSUs will be worth more like 30k. 72B seems a little insane to me, but I’m not an expert in this market. Can someone explain why he should choose uber?
Because...we get free Uber credits :D? The things you mentioned are pretty confusing, and I don’t pretend to understand how it works, let alone having a strong opinion. I just know rides, eats, and freight are doing fine ;)
The credits given to new employees are less than $150 pm.. so like 10 rides. Great.
Uber
Sharepoint is a joke. Go Uber or continue interviewing
TK would have rescinded your offer for asking this question
Too bad hes fired for being a shitty person
Definitely Uber in this choice
Uber, still very nimble and quick mlving and steep learning curve for new grad
That's true. But what about the future of the company. Uber is in news for the wrong reasons off late.
Media loves to hate us. I just ask, is the work I do adding value to society. I’d like to think so :) If you can’t handle a little criticism, Lyft is a great place too
