Hello, Microsoft filed h1 transfer under premium processing for sde 2 role on 01/08/2020. I got reciept notice on 01/10/2020. I have to join Microsoft on Jan27th so I have given notice to my currenr employer. The H1B case status is updated as RFE on 01/15/2020. Is it advisable to join on receipt when h1b case status is RFE? what are my options at MSFT if h1 transfer petition gets rejected after joining on reciept notice. please let me know! #h1b #rfe
Agreed with Intuit. RFE May result in a denial of visa. Joining on a RFE’d receipt will likely lead to you having no job and having to leave the country in a few weeks.
Lol if you told your current employer, there is a risk of them letting you do even if you tell MS to delay start date. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They will send you to Canada and apply for transfer again.
Never resign until you have your approval notice IN HAND. One of my friends had his approval lost in mail what resulted in delayed the transition process
Don’t join. Negotiate with current employer if possible. Going though RFE process with MS now. I didn’t join yet. It is so stressful.
When did you get RFE?
Its been 5 weeks
It looks like I don’t have any other option I will join microsoft on receipt notice
Take your resignation back, instead of join with RFE and that might be lead you to leave the country if things goes in wrong direction.
No issue join Microsoft. There lots time to reply on RFE. Don’t worry!!
Don't worry..if you are swe..joining is totally safe. Rfe gets cleared easily. Happened to me.
How is MS HR even allowing this? Joining on receipt is risky for the company as well
HR is not competent enough. I wonder some of them even know what is h1b is and the whole uncertainty around it.
Ask them to push joining date, given current visa processing time and issues. Joining on RFE could be risky
But I gave my resignation to the current employer.
Well, then you answered your first question. You don't have an option but to join.
